Forget slumping on the sofa or heading to the sales, dust off those Christmas cobwebs in the fresh air with us at the Boxing Day races, place some bets and grab some delicious food and drink.
Since the 1920s, crowds have flocked to Sedgefield on this day for one of the leading horse racing fixtures in the North-East.
This is a wonderful opportunity for a day out with the kids in a festive atmosphere at one of the most welcoming racecourses in the country.
Slumping on the sofa yet again simply doesn't stack up against the appeal of a fantastic winter afternoon enjoying Boxing Day horse racing in a friendly setting.

Children 17 and under go free to the races when accompanied by an adult (some exclusions apply for Festival fixtures and Live After Racing events). Children do not require a ticket in advance and a free ticket will be issued on the day.
Concessions discounts are only available on the day.
