Putting together your race day outfit should be stress-free, and above all else, we want our guests to feel completely comfortable and confident in what they wear. Having said that, many of our racegoers love dressing up for major jump fixtures to make a real occasion of it.
Different enclosures may have individual dress codes, particularly in hospitality suites, so please check details when booking. As most of our racing calendar at Sedgefield takes place across the colder winter months, we strongly advise wrapping up in warm layers and choosing practical footwear suitable for damp grass and walking between outdoor areas. Most general admission areas do not feature reserved seating, so comfortable shoes are essential. Rest assured, there are cosy indoor spaces where you can stay warm and dry throughout the day.
Gates open two hours prior to the first race, giving you time to arrive relaxed, explore the layout, and grab a warm bite to eat. Race times differ between meetings, so please confirm the day’s schedule on our website before heading out.
Gate entry is simple using e-tickets on your smartphone or printed passes. General admission seating is informal and unreserved, whereas restaurant bookings offer dedicated table seating.

If you wish to treat yourself, hospitality and dining packages can be booked in advance, or you can contact our team to upgrade your general admission tickets just before the fixture. Our racecourse has Silks Restaurant - providing a cosy atmosphere and hospitality packages. As well as Roxyfet Sports Lounge and Pavilion Suite offering food and drink during the racing.
Bringing external food and drinks into the enclosures is not permitted, unless advertised as an exception for specific race days.
