Owners & Trainers

OWNERS & TRAINERS

Northern Racing is committed to providing a premier level of customer service to Owners & Trainers.

Race Planning

Day to day, we aim to provide competitive racing, reflecting the needs of the majority of Owners, Trainers and the horse population. We support this by staging 'feature' days, with attractive levels of prize money and higher rated races.

We keep entry stakes as low as possible.

The Going

Trainers receive going reports at entry and declaration stages by telephone, fax, e-mail and text message. All racecourse office staff are briefed on the current going.

A continual programme of capital investment and modern equipment purchase ensures the best possible racing surface for horses.

The Customer Experience

We regularly write to Owners with runners – providing information about the racecourse and its facilities, and we always write and thank all Owners who have had a runner at our racecourses.

The Owners & Trainers car park is clearly signposted and patrolled to ensure exits are always clear. On arrival, Owners and Trainers receive a warm and courteous welcome, and a Racecourse Information Sheet.

A minimum of four complimentary badges are given to single Ownerships and up to eight badges for partnerships or syndicates. Additional badges are available for £10.

Stable staff canteens are clean, well-equipped, offer affordable catering, and SIS pictures.

Owners & Trainers Bar

Every Northern Racing course has a dedicated and clearly signposted Owners & Trainers Bar where a designated racecourse representative looks after the needs of Owners and Trainers.

A complimentary tea or coffee is provided on arrival.

Each bar is of good size and well furnished, offers a range of refreshments, and has a large plasma screen for viewing races and a Tote facility.

The racing colours of Owners with regular runners at the course are displayed.

The Racing

Each racecourse provides a clearly signposted external viewing area for Owners and Trainers.

Winning Owners are presented with a digital photograph of their horse, taken on the day, and are taken for a celebratory drink.

Owners can purchase race DVDs.

Equine Care

Northern Racing is committed to the care of the horse. As a minimum, each course has:

  • Clear signage for horse movements;
  • A post-race endoscope facility;
  • A post-race horse monitor - to spot signs of distress or injury & to action remedial steps;
  • Treatment boxes furnished to a high standard;
  • A quality panel of veterinary surgeons and back-up team.

Northern Racing is committed to providing a premier level of customer service to Owners and Trainers.

Where a racecourse is, for any reason, unable to fulfil any part of the Policy, it will make this clear in the Raceday Information Sheet - available at the Owners & Trainers entrance.

Customer Comment Cards are available in the Owners & Trainers Bar - we welcome your feedback.
