Venue Etiquette

All you need to know

Although traditionally here at Sedgefield Racecourse we are quite relaxed, there are no strict rules or codes of conduct, but we do expect our guests to be considerate of other racegoers. This page contains everything you need to know to make your day enjoyable from what to wear to our drinking policy, children and picnics or bringing your dog to taking photographs.

Centre Course

There is no dress code in the Centre Course. Fancy dress is allowed, providing it’s decent and would not cause offence to other guests.

Grandstand & Paddock

The dress code in Grandstand & Paddock is smart/casual.

No jogging bottoms, sports shorts, football/rugby shirts, skimpy tops or trainers. Smart jeans are acceptable.
