A racecourse is a natural amphitheatre and there are countless areas on the racecourse that company branding can appear. The following areas are just a few examples of areas that can be 'branded' up on a raceday.
These positions can be occupied by a large board which is branded up with a company logo, contact details and a message if desired.
There are many pitches all the way up the home straight of the course and also on the backs of the fences on the course. If you imagine that we are a jumping course which obviously means that our races are run over distances from 2m up to 3 ½ miles, the horses during a race can come up the straight up to 3 times, therefore the exposure of the hoardings up the straight is vast. Whereas if a sponsored fence was jumped three times in one race, the camera would be focusing on that one particular hoarding three times in the space of approximately 6 minutes.
The Racecourse toilets provide a unique advertising opportunity to gain excellent exposure, which will reach the relevant public audience, whilst reinforcing overall exposure.
A Sponsorship opportunity exists at Sedgefield Racecourse to exclusively advertise in our racecourse toilets.
At Sedgefield Racecourse, 30 A4 frames are currently in place. These frames appear on every toilet door, above urinals and above hand dryers, the only place where people stop and think on a racecourse. The frames provide an ideal opportunity to display potential messages to all racecourse visitors.
The Benefits…
Obviously this is where everyone focuses their attention at the end of a race. People who are in attendance at the course centre on this area throughout the course of the day and we here at Sedgefield often have seven races on our cards so this is a focal point for much of the day. In addition to this there is the 9000 plus betting shops and 500,000 plus viewers on attheraces who will see this winning post branded up. Another point to consider is that the one section of a race that is replayed is generally the last couple of furlongs on a jumping course. Therefore the advertising on the 'Winning Post' is duplicated throughout and afternoons racing. If you are interested in branding up the winning post at Sedgefield we will be more than happy to help you.
When horses are saddled up for races they are issued with a number cloth that corresponds with the number that appears in the Daily Newspapers and within our racecard. This number cloth sits under the jockeys saddle and is clearly visible to everyone on the racecourse and to the viewers at home, in the betting shops and on the internet. When the cameras feature the horses walking around the paddock and making their way down to the start of a race, they generally focus on them individually. As you can see if you sponsor the number cloths there is immense amount of exposure for your company.
